The Army Command announced in a statement that, “Units from the Fifth and Seventh Infantry Brigades and the Fifth Intervention Regiment, in partnership with United Nations Interim Forces’ units in the Naqoura area, carried out a combat exercise under the name  “Steel Storm 2021”, which lasted for 5 days and was interspersed with medium and heavy machine gun fire. This exercise comes within the framework of activating field cooperation between the two sides, and raising military readiness level of units deployed in the southern Litany sector.
