The Head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Appeal in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, ordered the arrest of Raja Salameh, brother of the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, in conformity of the lawsuit filed against him, Riad Salameh and his girlfriend Anna Kodakova by the “Pioneers of Justice” lawyers’ association, accusing him of “money laundering, embezzlement, illegal enrichment and smuggling.”

The arrest of Raja Salameh came after Aoun interrogated him for three continuous hours in the presence of his legal representative, and ordered his transfer to the Court of Justice in Baabda.
