judicial assistants are on suspension

The judicial assistants in the Palaces of Justice of Lebanon issued the following statement:

Pursuant to our previous data, and in view of the miserable economic and health disasters we are experiencing, and since employees in all public administrations suffer from these conditions, especially since their salaries are no longer sufficient or even non-existent, and in line with the decision of the Public Sector Employees Association, calling for a general strike in all public administrations, and denouncing the aforementioned, judicial assistants in all justice palaces in Lebanon announce their commitment to this stance  and announce general suspension in all courts, starting Wednesday morning on May 26 for a period of three days, provided that only the detainees’ affairs and the legal deadlines are secured during suspension.

Noting that the Association of Public Administration Employees called for a general strike today and tomorrow, in protest against the deteriorating economic and living conditions and the low minimum wages
