Judiciary prosecutes stations that refuse selling fuel to citizens

Sources told Sawt Beirut International (SBI) that the Appeal General Attorney in Mount Lebanon, Judge Samer Lisha, sent instructions to the Director General of the State Security, Major General Tony Saliba, and the Commander of the Judicial Police in the Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Maher Al-Halabi, to implement the circular issued by the Discriminatory Public Prosecutor, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, which aims at prosecuting the owners of gas stations who refuse and refrain from selling oil derivatives to citizens.

Judge Lisha requested conducting the necessary probes, and subjecting violating gas stations which refrain from delivering oil derivatives to the provisions of Article 8 of Legislative Decree No. 73/83. He also asked for summoning the owners of these stations, to investigate them, in order to take appropriate measures.
