Head of the “Progressive Socialist Party” Walid Jumblatt tweeted, “Where has Iraqi oil become? Who are the companies in charge of replacing it with fuel in order to produce electricity in Lebanese factories? strange how no one is talking about this topic.
He added, “It may be useful for the Lebanese General Security to send its special units to search for the fate of the trucks between Al Anbar and Deir ez-zur.” It is noteworthy that the first shipment of Iraqi fuel arrived to Lebanon on Thursday, and a second shipment will arrive as previously scheduled.
A test was conducted to match the fuel specifications, and the result was positive, to start unloading later today.
According to the agreement and the contract, a tender will be held every month to replace the fuel designated for EDL plants with Iraqi fuel, and the second tender will be held in the first week of October.
