The Head of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt tweeted the following:

“The strategy for progress with the International Monetary Fund is becoming evident, and key advisers from the Lebanese team have advocated adopting the LBP and investing it in national enterprises such as Electricité du Liban, the model of success. I recommend putting the depositors’ money in the locally manufactured drones, missiles, or explosives industry, which has a higher return.”
