Secretary of the “Strong Republic” bloc, Fadi Karam, tweeted: “He has appointed himself Republic Leader, to be able to put pressures on the army ordering them to suppress protesters, he threatens his opponents with civil war, and give two options to Lebanese people : submission to the crisis and stop protesting or be confronted with violence and clashes that might result in killing.”
