Secretary of the “Strong Republic” bloc, former MP Fadi Karam, tweeted: “Lifting immunities is not duels, maneuvers, auctions, proposals and suggestions that cannot be implemented. But rather, it is a nonobstructing factor for the investigative judge, that allows him to complete his investigations, in order to reveal the truth, the whole truth,  and find out who brought destruction to Lebanon, who covered it, who kept quiet about it, and  who “slacked off” in order to protect himself.”

رفع الحصانات ليس مبارزات ومناورات ومزايدات وطروحات واقتراحات غير قابلة للتنفيذ، بل هي عدم عرقلة لقاضي التحقيق برفعها للسماح له لاستكمال تحقيقاته وصولاً لكشف كل الحقيقة ومعرفة من الذي جلب الدمار الى لبنان والذي غطّاه والذي سكت عنه والذي تخازل لحماية نفسه.
