The Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI) said in a statement, that coronavirus is mutating in various ways and becoming more dangerous, and immune.

LARI has warned more than two months ago of the Delta strain, which is spreading currently in Lebanon, and the situation will worsen in August and September, due to the arrival of more Delta cases from abroad.

LARI said that when the flu season approaches, it is likely that Delta infections will increase.

LARI indicated that it is observing the new mutated Lambda, which has begun to spread in some countries in South America and is likely to spread. Receiving the vaccine is necessary and abiding to the safety measures as well, because the country may witness a new wave of coronavirus infections.”

The institution said the neither those who has been infected with Covid-19, nor who received the vaccine are immune, that’s why it is crucial to be aware and adopt precautions to avoid carrying the virus.
