As medical centers and hospitals are closing their doors, and many doctors have decided to emigrate from Lebanon, the Lebanese American University Medical Center – Rizk Hospital has chosen to stand by the Lebanese, now more than ever before, and is investing in a new and unique emergency department that extends over an area of more than a 700 square meters .
This new state of the art, fully integrated and comprehensive ER with an embedded Medical Imaging Unit including a CT-Scan, Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound and Mobile Unit, will ensure and guarantee medical excellence, efficiency, convenience, and most importantly patients’ safety.
President of the Lebanese American University, Dr. Michel Moawad, the Medical Director of the Center, Dr. George Ghanem, the CEO of the Center, Mr. Sami Rizk, the Director of Medical Care at the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Joseph El-Helou, were among the attendees of the opening ceremony, in addition to many doctors and media representatives
On the occasion, Dr. Mawad said: “Loyal to our promise of healing with compassion, and as a sign of faith and belief in our country, we at LAU Medical Center- Rizk Hospital couldn’t but pursue our quest to provide a world class Emergency services to our beloved Lebanese population.”
LAU Medical Center- Rizk hospital launched this new ER department, challenging the severe economic crisis and the many problems, barriers and restrictions that hinder the medical field on a daily basis, and affirming its unconditional commitment to the Lebanese people by providing them with the best healthcare services.
