The following statement was made on Wednesday by Adla Siblini Zein, President of the Council of Lebanese Women (LCW), to the UN and its General Secretary, Antonio Guterres, in protest of the Israeli atrocities in the Gaza area.

“The Council of the Lebanese Women, an umbrella organization representing 150 women’s and mixed-gender NGOs spread throughout Lebanon, vehemently denounces the Israeli massacres in Gaza, which are killing and maiming children, women, and the elderly. We particularly refer to the most recent bombing attack that targeted the Christian Baptist Hospital in Gaza. Israel also persistently attacks both the Lebanese and Arab territories within the occupied Palestinian borders.
