The personal envoy of French President Emmanuel Macron for Lebanon, Jean-Yves Le Drian, confirmed at the end of his visit to Lebanon that he “intended to listen” during his first visit.
Le Drian stated in a statement that he “met with civil, religious, and military authorities, in addition to representatives of all political parties represented in the parliament.”
Le Drian indicated that he would submit a report to Macron immediately upon his return to France, revealing that he would return to Beirut in the near future because “time is not working in Lebanon’s favor.”
