The Lebanese Forces
The Media Department at the ‘Lebanese Forces’ Party confirmed that “everything contained in the report published in Al-Akhbar newspaper entitled ‘Minutes of the Investigation into the Tayouneh Incidents’, contains many inaccuracies and has nothing to do with the truth.
The department repeats that the Lebanese Army Command had issued a statement in response to what some media channels have been publishing, mainly Al-Akhbar newspaper, in which they denied what is being leaked, published and rumored.”
The department said in a statement, that “what Al-Akhbar newspaper falsely called the investigation minutes is completely untrue, especially that the illustrated facts for the demonstration from its beginning to forcibly entering Frères street in Ain El Remmaneh, and between those who started shooting, are proven and irrefutable facts. This is in addition to the fact that, since the Ain El Remmaneh incident, the newspaper has fabricated reports issued by its black rooms.”
The party also confirmed that “the Lebanese Forces will charge the newspaper with the crime of forgery and publishing minutes from a secret investigation, as the confidentiality of the investigation is a basic and crucial aspect in investigations being conducted in sensitive cases such as the Tayouneh and Ain El Remmaneh incident, and will also be accused of criminal slander.”
