The Minister of Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi toured the departments of the General Directorate of Personal Status and the Joint Administrative Directorate in the ministry building this morning.

The Minister was briefed by the Director General of Personal Status and the Director of the Joint Administrative Commission, Brigadier General Elias Al Khoury, on the ongoing administrative and logistical preparations to complete the work readiness for the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 2022, in order to inspect the electoral list operators and the identity card.

Then Minister Mawlawi moved to the Directorate of Political Affairs and Refugees and inspected its departments, and was briefed on the directorate’s preparations to receive the applications of candidates and follow up on the progress of the electoral process.

Minister Mawlawi also inspected Beirut’s department of souls and was briefed on the progress of work in it.
