The Lebanese Pharmaceutical Importers Association and Warehouse Owners in Lebanon announced that it “puts all of its capabilities at the disposal of those concerned with the health sector, particularly the Ministry of Public Health and the Banque du Liban, and is ready to discuss the health bill numbers in complete transparency so that those concerned can base their decisions on correct and accurate ground.”
The Syndicate affirmed in a statement today: “On July 14, 2021, the Central Council of the Banque du Liban issued a statement suggesting that the value of the health bill for the first six months of 2021 exceeded the value of the same bill for the entire year 2020. The Banque du Liban reached this conclusion by collecting multiple numbers back. For the year 2021 it may have significance from a purely banking point of view, but it does not reflect the value of the health bill for the first half of this year at all.
