Lebanon COVID-19 cases surpass 6 thousand

Ministry of Public Health recorded for today, Friday, 6,954 new cases of COVID-19 infections and 18 deaths

Minister of Public Health, Firas Abyad, confirmed in a previous statement that “the vaccine rate is still not high in Lebanon compared to other countries, as countries such as Britain and Denmark, in which the vaccination rate exceeded eighty percent, have lifted Corona restrictions.”

He declared, “Based on the current reality, the committee did not see what required a general closure, but the low rate of the vaccine necessitates the continuation of the strict procedures followed and not easing them.”

Abyad revealed that “in an effort to increase immunization and community immunity, the vaccination centers will receive the elderly or patients who want to receive the vaccine even if they are not registered on the platform, as they will be registered and given the vaccine at the same time.”
