Lebanon reports 2,723 new COVID-19 cases, 59 deaths

The Ministry of Public Health announced, on Monday, the registration of 2,723 new Coronavirus infections, raising the cumulative number of confirmed cases to-date to 359,320.

Additionally, it indicated that 59 deaths were registered during the past 24 hours.

“2,723 confirmed cases were recorded among residents and 24 cases among expatriates,” noting that “59 new deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,446”, the Ministry explained.

“The number of hospitalizations yesterday was 2,147 including 918 in intensive care, and the number of laboratory tests taken yesterday was 21,485 of which 1.598 were taken at the airport”, the Ministry concluded.
