Lebanon reports 923 new Covid-19 infections, 3 deaths

The Ministry of Public Health reported 923 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, along with three deaths.

The total number of confirmed cases stands now at 560,396 while the overall tally of fatalities is 7,903.

The ministry indicated that 882 cases were recorded among residents and 41 cases among arrivals.

The number of citizens that received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine has reached 1,230,361, and the number of citizens who received the second doze is 867,040.

The Order of Nurses warned that “the rapid rise in the number of Delta infections is threatening the citizens’ health.”

The order said: “Amid this reality, the order calls on citizens to be responsible, and appealed to them to adhere to the safety and protective measures, such as wearing masks, washing hands, physical distancing, and avoiding crowded places such as cafes, restaurants, tourist centers, resorts and swimming pools. It also insisted on the importance of receiving the vaccine available.”
