Lebanon’s Mikati has been invited to visit Turkey: We value Ankara’s ongoing interest in Lebanon

During his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed the strength of Lebanese-Turkish relations, saying, “Lebanon and Turkey have strong historical relations, and we appreciate Turkey for its constant interest in Lebanon and support for it at all levels.”

Çavuşoğlu expressed his pleasure at meeting President Mikati and invited him to visit Turkey soon to discuss ways of collaboration. He underlined Turkey’s willingness in assisting Lebanon’s health sector, particularly government hospitals, by granting the country medicines and medical supplies, as well as strengthening investment and tourism partnerships.

President Mikati had received the Turkish Foreign Minister, who was accompanied by a delegation, as well as Turkey’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Barish Ulusoy, in the presence of the Minister of Public Health Firas Abiad.
