Member of the powerful Republic bloc Representative Cesar Al-Maalouf, hinted at his resignation from Parliament.

He Tweeted: “My resignation from the parliament is ready, and I will be the first to put it in the hands of Dr. Samir Geagea when the powerful republican bloc takes this decision. Yes, to re-establish power at the ballot box.”

It is noteworthy that sources of the “Lebanese Forces” party confirmed to the “Al-Jumhuriya” newspaper, its clear stance  on the issue of resignation from the parliament, because “the Lebanese forces have a target, and this means that they do not stop at the resignations of other parties to decide whether or not they resign. It has no problem with those who resign first. The main aim is early parliamentary elections, and whoever adopts resignation as a means to bring down the parliament, the “Lebanese forces” will meet with him. Because salvation will not be achieved in light of the current majority. ”

It pointed out that “some people really want to resign in order to get rid of the prime minister-designate, Saad Hariri, while we want to resign in order to re-establish all powers, that is, re-establishing of a new parliament, a new president and a new prime minister.” If the “Strong Lebanon” bloc is to resign, we have to make sure c that the “Strong Republic” bloc will also resign. As for the “Lebanese forces, every effort must be made to shorten the crisis. This is our goal, and this is our endeavor.”
