Financial and economic experts unanimously agree that what Lebanon has been witnessing since 2019 is unprecedented worldwide in the contemporary history, both in terms of the crisis severity and the pace of collapse, and most importantly in terms of the ruling political class’s indifference to contain what is happening through urgent measures, perhaps the most prominent of which,  is to form a government to manage the collapse, and eases the impact of the expected fall.  All the data confirm that the country is on the verge of a resounding fall, which was expressed by the caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab last week when he gathered a number of ambassadors and diplomats to inform them that “Lebanon is a few days away from the social explosion.” He was preceded by President Michel Aoun when he announced last September that “Lebanon is heading to hell if a government is not formed.”
