Major General Abbas Ibrahim, the Director General of General Security, visited the Ministry of Energy and briefed Minister Walid Fayyad on the outcomes of Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s visit to Iraq.

Major General Ibrahim discussed two topics. The first is that the Lebanese side requested from the Iraqi side that the first gas shipments, which resulted from the Iraqi agreement, be made more frequently and in a more regular and periodic way.

The second point is that during the visit to Iraq, the Lebanese side urged that the agreement between the two nations be extended.
