The Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Commission, Major General Muhammad Khair, toured with an Egyptian medical delegation that included: Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Mahdi Salem, Dr. Mustafa Ali Mahmoud Haroun and Dr. Wael Muhammad Abdullah Ayyad, the Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Dr. Hamad Hassan, and the Geitaoui Hospital in Beirut where a number of people with severe burns are treated as a result of the Tleil explosion.

Major General Khair thanked the medical delegation, the Egyptian ambassador and the Egyptian government for the good fraternal initiative to send a medical delegation and quantities of medicines to help the injured as a result of the Tleil explosion in Akkar.

He said: “Our return to the Egyptian government, headed by President Sisi and the Egyptian people, to extend assistance and immediate assistance to the Lebanese people in case of any setback, need or distress, to be at the forefront of the helping countries.”
