Major General Khair: “We are in talks with Turkey and Egypt to transfer risky cases for treatment”

The Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission in Lebanon, Major General Mohammad Khair, said that the fuel tanker explosion in Akkar is a catastrophe.

He called on all hospitals that are specialized in burn cases to help treat patients.

Khair announced, after he toured Al-Salam Hospital in Tripoli to check the injured, that “there are talks with Turkey and Egypt to transfer dangerous cases abroad.”

Khair appealed to the Minister of Energy and Water to “provide hospitals and Red Cross centers in the North with power,” stressing that “this is a real disaster similar to the explosion that took place in Port of Beirut.”
