Representative Fouad Makhzoumi tweeted on his Twitter account.

He wrote: “The entry of Iranian ships into Lebanese territory is a dangerous decision that will have negative repercussions in terms of Lebanon being inevitably affected by the sanctions imposed on Iran since 2018, which will impose on Lebanon a new economic blockade of its kind that restricts the country’s banking movement in terms of the Bank of Lebanon’s dealings with correspondent banks in America in particular.”

And he added in another tweet: “Lebanon may be prevented, in turn, from opening any credits for fuel and medicine, and it will exacerbate the crises we suffer from, instead of being an entry point to a solution. Lebanon cannot be an arena for axes’ conflicts and the exchange of regional messages, while the Lebanese are living through the most difficult and delicate stages at the moment.”
