Sources told Sawt Beirut International that the families of the victims of the fire brigade who were killed in Beirut Port Blast reiterated the trust they put in the Judicial Investigator, Judge Tarek Bitar, and his ability to reach the truth in this crime.

After meeting with Judge Bitar in his office at the Palace of Justice, the Committee of the Families of the Martyrs of the Fire Brigade announced that the latter “remains in office and is continuing his investigations despite the lawsuit filed against him to dismiss him.” They reiterated their continued support for the Judicial Investigator, telling him: “Justice for our sons are your responsibility!”
