Mawlaw affirms Lebanon’s stance, and Al-Sabah demands guarantees

After his meeting with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi confirmed that “we were honored to meet the loved ones and we are pleased to meet the brothers and those who love Lebanon, and we discussed all important matters.”

He said, “I affirmed the stance of Lebanon and the Ministry of Interior, regarding all matters that happen in the country or anything that may constitute verbal harm to the State of Kuwait and everything related to border control and drug smuggling.”

“They want to build the state, and as they have always helped us, they will help us in building the state.”Mawlawi concluded.

For his part, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah confirmed that “I conveyed to the Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi all Arab and international concerns, and Lebanon should not be exploited in any verbal or other aggression, and we appreciate what he is doing.”

During a joint press conference with Mawlawi, Al-Sabah said : “We discussed the export of the scourge of drugs outside Lebanon, and there are demands and a general desire that all the state’s outlets be under their authority.”

He hoped that through increasing the extension of the state’s authority, Lebanon would become more secure and stable. He demanded mechanisms to ensure that shipments do not pass to Kuwait and the region, and that the Lebanese authorities should do so to restore confidence
