Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi, denied his knowledge of any “threatening against Judge Tariq Bitar,” pointing out that “the investigation Beirut Port bombing case is a confidential one, and I did not see it and I have no right to do so.”

Mawlawi asked all citizens to maintain security and order and to respect the security forces. We love the citizen and we are not against him.

He added: “I was very happy when I saw how this institution uses science for the sake of security, and I promise all the military members to do everything we can do to help them.”
