The owners of 43 pharmacies in the Bikfaya and Dbayeh regions announced that they will strike and close their pharmacies on Thursday May 20.

The pharmacists said that they will strike to object the mechanism of distributing pharmaceuticals, and called for receiving it in a fair and objective manner, especially chronic diseases medicines for pressure and diabetes.

The pharmacists considered that the shortage in these medicines is putting them in confrontation with the citizens who accuse them of storing and concealing it. ”

They also called on the Ministry of Public Health to find a solution for this crisis, and called on pharmacies in all regions to “show solidarity and press in this direction.”
