“Middle East Airlines” announces new travel conditions to Belgium

Middle East Airlines (MEA)  issued a statement indicating that in line with the decision issued by the Belgian authorities after reducing Lebanon’s classification in terms of the spread of Covid-19 infections, the company amended travel procedures from Lebanon to Belgium according to the following:

1- Holders of a Type C visa who have been fully vaccinated for more than 14 days with a vaccine recognized by the European Union are allowed to enter Belgium, and those who have not received the vaccine are banned from entering the country.

Passengers with a non-vaccinated Type C visa must request a document for essential travel from the Belgian Embassy in Lebanon and the PCR test should be examined before 72 hours from the date of travel.

2- The vaccines recognized by the European Union are: ASTRAZENECA, BIONTEC PFIZER, MODERNA, JANSSEN & COVIDSHIELD even if they are conducted outside Europe.

3- All travelers to Belgium, regardless of their age, must register with the following link: https://www.info-coronavirus.be/nl/plf/.

All passengers departing from Beirut to Belgium must amend their reservations to comply with the procedures imposed above, and any passenger who does not comply with the imposed conditions will not be accepted. It will also ensure that these procedures are implemented by MEA prior to departure and by the Belgium airport authorities upon arrival.
