The Israeli attack that targeted a press crew in southern Lebanon today and resulted in the martyrdom of Al-Mayadeen news channel correspondent Farah Omar, Al-Mayadeen photographer Rabih al-Maamari, and several civilians was strongly denounced by acting prime minister Najib Mikati on Tuesday.

Mikati expressed his sincere sympathies to the families of the two press martyrs as well as to the Al-Mayadeen news network, saying, “This attack proves once again that there are no limits to Israeli crimes and that its only goal is to silence the media that exposes its crimes and attacks.”
