Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday chaired at the Grand Serail, a meeting for the ministerial committee tasked with overseeing the work of the Emergency Crisis and Covid-19 Response Social Safety Net Project.
The meeting was attended by Caretaker Ministers of National Education and Higher Education Judge Abbas Al-Halabi, Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi, Social Affairs Hector Al-Hajjar, Public Health Firas Al-Abyad, and Economy and Trade Amin Salam, as well as the Director General of the Presidency of the Republic Dr. Antoine Choucair, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Judge Mahmoud Makiya and Premier Mikati’s advisors Samir Al-Daher and Ziad Mikati.
On emerging, Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Hector Hajjar said that they briefed the Premier on the progress of work in the “AMAN” program, the number of beneficiaries, monthly payments, and the assessment of the accomplished stage before moving to the next stage.
On the other hand, Premier Mikati met with Caretaker Minister of Finance, Dr. Youssef El-Khalil, with discussion touching on the ministry’s related issues and financial and economic affairs.
Mikati later met with MP Ihab Matar, with whom he discussed the current general situation.
The Caretaker Prime Minister also met with State Security Director General, Major General Tony Saliba.
