Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a meeting at the Grand Serail on Wednesday, devoted to discussing the electricity file, in the presence of Caretaker Energy Minister Walid Fayyad, a delegation of Electricity of France (EDF), and Mikati’s advisor Nicolas Nahhas.

“Today’s meeting was to follow up on the ongoing works with Electricity of Lebanon (EDL) and the Ministry of Energy to establish new plants,” Fayyad told reporters.

He went on saying that the power supply will remain at 250 megawatts until mid-February.
