Mikati leaves visits to Baabda before Eid al-Adha

The knot of forming the government entrusted by President Najib Mikati is still present, and there is no glimmer of light, not even a little hope, about any changes that will occur before Eid al-Adha, while the citizen remains hostage to the political disputes and quotas that are taking place today.

The visit that Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati talked about to Baabda Palace to meet with President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, and to consult on the issue of forming a government, does not appear to take place before the Eid al-Adha holiday, although he announced on Monday from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Beirut that it will be within the next two days. The concerned departments report to the “Central” that there is no appointment today for President Mikati at the Republican Palace, while concerned sources reveal that the designated president will leave Beirut for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the coming hours to perform the rituals of Umrah on Eid al-Adha.

She adds that he will then go to the United Kingdom to spend the Eid holiday with his family, and return in the middle of next week to Beirut to resume his governmental mission.
