Mikati meets with economic bodies’ delegation, chairs meeting over ration card

Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Monday underlined that cooperation of all parties is very important to put Lebanon on the path of recovery, indicating that “the first step we’re working on is to stop the collapse happening in the country and to end the urgent problems related to securing the electricity power and resolving the medicine and fuel crisis, in parallel with the transition to address other problems in cooperation with the relevant international bodies.”

Premier Mikati welcomed at the Grand Serail a delegation of the economic bodies in Lebanon, headed by former Minister Mohammad Choucair.

During the meeting, Choucair congratulated Mikati on the formation of the government, wishing him success in his new mission.

On the other hand, Mikati chaired a meeting to continue ration card discussions, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Saade Chami, Social Affairs Minister, Hector Hajjar, Trade and Economy Minister, Amin Salam, Finance Minister, Youssef Al-Khalil, MP Nicolas Nahhas, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makkieh, and Mikati’s Office Director Jamal Karim.

Mikati also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, over relevant Ministry affairs.

Mikati later received MEA Board Chairman Mohammed El-Hout, with talks touching on the situation of the company and future development plans.
