Mikati: No solution except by electing a president

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati declared that “the current government is able to fully carry out its duties,” noting that “the constitutional articles confirm the continuation of the caretaker administration throughout the absence of the President of the Republic.”

He confirmed via an interview with Arab TV, that “there is no solution except by electing a president of the republic.”
“I am not a fan of provocations or quarrels with anyone,” Mikati said stressing that “we did not sign an agreement with the enemy, and now I am interested in how to restore the electricity supply to the Lebanese people.”
