Mikati: We are keen not to interfere in any judicial file

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with the Minister of Justice, Judge Henry Khoury, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Suhail Abboud, and the Public Prosecutor, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, at his office.
During the meeting, they discussed the security incidents that took place in Tayouneh, and the need to expedite the investigations to reveal the full circumstances of what happened, and to refer the perpetrators of these events to the competent judiciary.
Mikati stressed during the meeting that “the complete file of what happened is in the custody of the security services under the supervision of the competent judiciary,” stressing that “the government is keen not to interfere in any file related to the judiciary, and that the judicial authority must take whatever measures it deems appropriate by itself.”
