Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati said in the wake of his meeting with President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun: “I handed President Aoun my suggestions on the government formation and I sensed acceptance by him. I took his comments into consideration, and in God willing we will reach a government formation soon”.

According to the LBCI, a serious discussion began today on the issue of the government formula, and it was agreed between Presidents Aoun and Mikati on the formula of 24 ministers, provided that the government would be composed of independent, non-partisan specialists.
