Minister of National Defense, Maurice Sleem, on Monday kicked off his official visit to Iraq where he held a meeting with National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, at the Chancellery’s headquarters in Baghdad.

The pair discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the two countries.

It is to note that Minister Sleem is scheduled to meet tomorrow with his Iraqi counterpart, Jumaa Inad Saadoun, to discuss areas of joint cooperation between the ministries of defense of both countries. A memorandum of understanding on military cooperation will also be signed.
