Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad, discussed with the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Yasser Alawi, the mechanism of bringing Egyptian gas to Lebanon through Jordan and Syria, after the meeting held in this context last week in Amman between the relevant ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Lebanese Republic. .

The discussions included the meeting that will be held soon, between the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Minister Fayyad, to expedite the procedures required to establish the agreement, which promises to increase the feeding hours of electricity supply, serves the national interest of both parties, and enhances cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon.
