Minister of Energy makes a new statement

President Michel Aoun met with Energy Minister Walid Fayyad, and after the meeting, Fayyad said: “The issue of gas being transferred from Egypt through Syria, which allows for an additional 8 hours, and Jordan’s electricity increases by two hours, or 10 hours in total, will be improving nutrition and developing the electrical sector on hold, and fixing the line must be essential. Allowing gas to reach Deir Ammar takes a month and a half, and Egypt, on the other hand, must complete the work it is conducting.”

He continued, “The meeting was positive, and the most important thing in the matter is President Aoun’s support for the electricity sector by improving the performance of the Electricité du Liban and his tireless support on this issue, including the approval of the Prime Minister on the issue of repairing the gas line that we launched yesterday.”
