The media office of the Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad, issued the following statement: “What is being circulated about tweets issued by the Minister of Energy and Water, Dr. Walid Fayyad, including one in which he indicates that the Ministry of Energy’s building depends entirely on electricity generators, not on Electricity of Lebanon, is untrue. To clarify, the ministry has electricity meters and does not have any arrears to Electricity of Lebanon.

And we repeat and repeat again that the account from which the permits are issued is fictitious and wrong, and when the minister issues any statement, it will be through its media office or any tweet on its official account”.
