The Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Youssef Khalil, revealed that the World Bank intends to provide Lebanon with a loan of around $200 million to support developmental sectors, especially the agricultural sector, through the Green Agri-food Transformation for Economic Recovery project.

Khalil received the Vice President of the World Bank, Farid Belhaj, along with a delegation in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, George Maaraoui, and the Advisor to the Prime Minister, Samir Daher. The meeting included a review of the bank-funded projects, particularly assistance loans for the social safety net program and wheat support.
