The media office for the Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Ghazi Wazni, has confirmed in a statement that Alvarez & Marsal till late yesterday (Friday 12) did not receive from the Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, any answers to their questions concerning the forensic audit.

The statement said: “What applies on the forensic audit topic applies on the subsidies and transfers to Electricité du Liban (EDL).”

The media office asked: “We don’t know if there are new legal principles for receiving answers to our questions, which is through media.”
