Ministry of Education suspends remote learning for one week

Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education Tarek al-Majzoub, issued a decision suspending remote teaching in all public and private schools and for all levels as well as vocational and technical institutions starting from Monday March 8, until Sunday evening, March 14.

The decision indicated: “Due to the tough economic, health and social conditions the country is going through, and its impact on the educational sector in all its institutions, and as this reality requires a minimum level of health and living standards to secure fair and quantitative education for all students, the Ministry decided to suspend teaching in all schools.”

The minister has decided previously not to return to integrated learning during the second phase of the national plan to reopen sectors, awaiting the Ministry of Public Health to determine the date for the start of the vaccine for the educational sector, with the hope that infection cases will decrease and the pressure on the health sector will be reduced.
