Ministry of Health: Emirates Center completed this project

The Ministry of Public Health’s media office issued a statement announcing that the “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Emirati-Lebanese Center” in the Biel area has completed the task for which it was established as an emergency center to receive COVID-19 patients, as the center has received four hundred and sixty (460) patients since its opening on the twelfth of last January until today, of whom fifty-four (54) require intensive care.

Because of the reported decrease in the incidence of cases in Lebanon, the center will be closed tomorrow, Friday, and will no longer accept patients.

The center had worked under the supervision of the Rafic Hariri University Hospital, which helped to equip it and to secure the administrative, nursing and specialized medical staff for the proper functioning of the medical service.

As for the “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Emirati-Lebanese Center”, the Ministry of Public Health is in the process of searching for how to transfer it to other medical services to meet the needs of patients and support the health system in Lebanon, and these procedures will be announced soon.
