The Ministry of Public Health reported in its daily report that it had registered 455 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 549,427, with one fatality.

“We are still in a good epidemiological classification,” said Hamad Hassan, the Caretaker Health Minister. “The increase in COVID infections is expediting the arrival of the third wave of the virus,” he explained during a television interview.

Minister Hassan has also urged expats and their families to pay close attention and adhere to the Covid-19 prevention procedures in order to avoid the spread of the pandemic.
