The Ministry of Information published the criteria for the “Beirut Humanitarian Award”, the idea for ​​which was initiated by caretaker Minister of Information, Manal Abdel Samad, who, in cooperation with the Arab League adopted the initiative to honor the five best journalistic and drama works that celebrate humanity, be it Lebanese or Arab.

The awardees would have succeeded, during the period following the August 4 explosion, in exercising the role of the fourth authority, which investigates facts on the basis of impartiality, objectivity, and transparency, and emulates the pain of the unfortunate according to the rules of ethics that govern the profession of journalism.

The award will be presented in the last quarter of 2021, at a date to be determined later.
