After one of the guests disclosed his visit to Saudi Arabia, the office of the caretaker government’s Minister of Interior, Mohamad Fahmi, denied the news, claiming that he went and returned in secret.

“One of the guests said on a television show that the Minister of Interior visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and then returned to Beirut surreptitiously,” Fahmi said in a statement.

“Taking into consideration that Minister Fahmi has the honor to visit the kingdom when circumstances permit,” the media office denied “what was reported,” emphasizing that “all the minister has done is public and will never be far from the media.”
