Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh confirmed that the mechanisms of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport have been working since the early morning to open all roads on an ongoing basis, and will not keep any international or major road closed.

Hamieh hoped in a Tweet that citizens and residents abide by the instructions of the security services and asked them not to take the roads except for necessity.

It is noteworthy that a low pressure has been affecting Lebanon, centered over Turkey, since Tuesday midnight. Cold and snowy stormy weather is prevalent, with snow falling below the threshold of 1000 meters.

On Sunday, weather will be unstable, cold and cloudy with fog on the mountains and sporadic rain, while snow falls on 800-1000 meters in some regions and in the Bekaa. The temperature ranges between 6 and 10 degrees on the coast and between -3 and 3 in Bekaa, and between -2 and 4 degrees on 1000 meters and above, while the winds are southwesterly weak, with a speed of between 20 and 30 km/h.

On Monday, the weather will be unstable, cold and cloudy with fog on the mountains and intermittent and scattered rain, while snow falls at 700-800 metres in Bekaa. The temperature ranges between 6 and 10 degrees on the coast and between -3 and 3 in Bekaa, and between -2 and 4 degrees on the 1000 metres. While the winds are southwesterly, weak, with a speed of between 20 and 30 km/hr.
